Our President Murat Değirmenci attended the consultation meeting of non-governmental organizations held in Istanbul.
Representatives of UNHCR, Support to Life Association and other invited non-governmental organizations attended the event. Presentations on ‘Social Support and Referral Mechanisms for Refugees’, ‘Access to Funding Resources’, ‘Localization’ and ‘Advocacy’ were made at the event. Open group work was carried out with Finance specialist, Procurement specialist, MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) specialist, Human Resources specialist for the capacity building objectives of the participating associations. An evaluation and question-answer session was held with UNHCR Regional Officer and Ankara Field Officer. Their activities with other non-governmental organizations, the problems encountered in the activity processes, solution suggestions and potential collaborations between institutions were discussed.
